The Colonial Terrace Inn is a 3-Diamond hotel in Carmel that boasts an ever so charming collection of 26 room and suite accommodations, many with views of the ocean and horizon of Carmel Bay, housed in seven buildings scattered around the beautiful, award winning gardens.

The hotel connects Carmelo St. with San Antonio St. through a series of grass and bricked terraces, offering an assortment of beautiful gardens, lawns, and sitting areas for the enjoyment of our guests.

Guests have the convenience of ample on-site parking and have only a short stroll to the Carmel Village restaurants and boutiques.

The quaint and secluded property offers much more than a bed and breakfast, with a variety of relaxing lodging accommodations all with the usual comforts of home – included are complimentary wireless internet, luxurious bath amenities, plush terry cloth robes and an array of other services designed to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

Most rooms and suites have fireplaces and all lodging accommodations include refrigerators and coffee makers. Select rooms with whirlpool tubs, kitchens or kitchenettes are also available. The assortment of unique lodging options offers something for every occasion and duration of stay.

The Inn has a variety of different room types with most having unique characteristics. However, for the comfort of our guests, all lodging and accommodations are non-smoking and pets are not allowed in guest rooms or the lobby building.  If you have specific questions, our reservations staff would be happy to assist you in your selection.
Colonial Terrace Hotel

Carmel Point Suite:
Newly remodeled suite featuring an elegant wet bar, oval desk, aristocrat chair w/ ottoman, cozy fireplace, dual vanity, large shower and a 32” LCD HD television.
Master Suite

Colonial Suite:
Family suite that accommodates up to 6 persons with an ocean view, balcony and a fireplace. Featuring a separate master bedroom and bath. The suite also has a king bed, second bath, 39" LCD flat Screen TV, circular dining area with bay windows and a kitchenette.
San Antonio Suite Room 26

San Antonio, Carmelo and Terrace Suites:
Ocean views with a king bed, fireplace and a kitchenette are standard. San Antonio Suites have a 39" LCD flat screen TV.   Some suites are available with a balcony, whirlpool tub, a sleeper sofa or connecting rooms.  (These options are available in select rooms only.  Please contact hotel staff for room details upon booking)

Spacious rooms with garden views including a king or queen bed, kitchenette and a fireplace.
Ocean View Room 13

Ocean View Rooms:

Courtyard Rooms:
